District Camp 2005
District Camp 2005 photos are here
We trust you all had a good time, as everyone was packing up
many of you said you’d enjoyed the weekend, We look forward
to hearing about the bits we didn’t get to see going on.
We would like to thank everyone who helped to make it possible
from the Sub camp chiefs & Characters to Angie sat sorting the
paper work & Albert Parker the Jail smith, One and all a great
big thank you.
Once again everyone has come together to make it a great weekend
that we can talk about for a long time. So thank you.
Debbie Asling & Jamie Dannatt - Camp Organisers
How-de-folks ! What a great time we had ! Was it a brilliant camp for
you ? You certainly seemed to be enjoying it !!!!:
Wallowing in the mud, chasing Bandits, searching for gold, working
with the Indians and climbing Rocky Mountain. Not to mention
visiting the Store Keeper, the Prospector and The Sheriff himself !
AND on top of all that you found time to chase after Buffalo Bill,
Davey Crocket and me !!
WELL DONE to Buffalo Bill & ‘partners’ for being first to the hideout
– commiserations to Davey’s ‘dudes’ and my ‘bandits’ – there’s always
next time!
Yur ever luvin, Bandit Belle xxx
From the pen of Davy Crockett
Davy Crockett and his staff would like to say a huge "Well Done and Thank You" to all the
groups who camped on the best sub-camp at Lincoln District Camp 2005.
We missed out on winning the competition by a matter of 5 minutes !! We hope that
you all enjoyed yourselves as much as we did, despite the weather.
Particular thanks go to the leaders from the 12th for the fantastic Davy Crockett banner
and to Fran, Katie and the scout for the brilliant camp fire sketch
See you all next time!
Davy Crockett and Crew
P.S. Davy Crockett did learn an important lesson whilst on camp. If a tall, balding law
enforcement figure challenges you to a competition to win the heart of a wench of
dubious repute, run for them thar hills cos there be mischief afoot!!!
Thanks, Bez, GSL 18th Lincoln
